What this walkthrough covers
This 22-minute walkthrough covers the Tafkiro Manufacturing module in a configured tenant for a discrete manufacturing business. Sections: production order creation from a sales order, BOM explosion (multi-level), material availability check against current stock, work order routing across work centres, in-process quality inspection checkpoint, finished goods receipt into inventory, and dispatch with sales invoice.
BOM explosion and material requirements
We show a multi-level BOM explosion for a finished good with 3 sub-assemblies and 18 raw material components. The system calculates material requirements against current stock levels and open purchase orders, identifies shortages, and generates suggested purchase orders for the deficit quantities. The planner reviews and releases the purchase orders from within the production planning interface.
Quality inspection and non-conformance
We demonstrate an in-process quality inspection checkpoint in the routing. The quality inspector marks one batch as non-conforming. The system generates a non-conformance record, routes the material for disposition decision (rework, scrap, or accept with deviation), and tracks the production order status with the non-conformance held.
