Overview

Lite Eatz is a healthy QSR franchise operating across Karnataka. Before Tafkiro, outlet performance was tracked through a combination of POS exports, WhatsApp photos of daily sales sheets, and a shared spreadsheet the finance team updated once a week. Monthly P&L per outlet took nine days to produce. Food waste had no systematic tracking. GST reconciliation was manual. Seven weeks after kickoff, all outlets were live on a single platform.

The before state: outlets running independently, finance always behind

Lite Eatz had built a strong brand across Karnataka — healthy, modern, consistent in experience. The back-office was a different picture. Each outlet ran a standalone POS that exported end-of-day CSVs to a shared folder. The finance team downloaded those files, reformatted them into a master sheet, and cross-referenced against supplier invoices that arrived by email from multiple vendors. Stock counts happened physically once a week, recorded by the outlet manager on paper and then typed in manually. The result: P&L per outlet took between 7 and 9 working days to produce each month. By the time a franchise partner received their numbers, nearly a third of the following month had passed. Food waste — one of the highest-leverage cost lines in QSR — was estimated rather than measured. GST reconciliation required a separate exercise every month: matching POS sales data against purchase invoices to calculate input tax credit, then filing GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B manually. The CA handling GST worked from email exports. Payroll for staff across the outlets ran in a separate tool with no connection to attendance records, requiring manual matching every cycle.

The implementation: POS, inventory, finance, GST, and HR connected in 7 weeks

Tafkiro scoped the engagement across POS, Inventory, Purchase, Accounting, HR & Payroll, and GST Compliance modules — with one non-negotiable requirement: all outlets must operate on a single platform instance with outle...

The outcomes: two-day close, real-time waste tracking, and GST that files itself

At the 90-day post-go-live review, month-end close across all outlets produced a complete outlet-level P&L within 2 working days — down from 9. Three structural changes drove this: sales data posts to the ledger in real ...
